Canva Code can build you a working landing page without a developer — here's how

If you use Canva already, you're sitting on a feature most people haven't touched yet. Canva rolled out Code 2.0 to every account this month, including free ones, and it lets you describe what you want in plain English and get back a working, interactive page, no developer, no separate tool, no learning to code.
This isn't a gimmick version of a real coding tool. It's built on the same Claude models a lot of us already use for everything else, and it lives right inside the Canva editor you already know, brand kit and all.
Feature 01: Build a page from a plain-English description
You don't need a spec, a wireframe, or any coding vocabulary. You describe the outcome you want and Canva Code writes the working page for you.
Go to your Canva homepage and look for the Canva AI button, usually front and center or in the sidebar.
Select "Code for me" from the menu that opens. This drops you into a chat window built specifically for this feature.
Describe what you want in one clear sentence. Something like: "Build a landing page for a business coaching discovery call, with a headline, three bullet points about what clients get, and a button that links to my booking page."
Let it generate a first draft. Canva Code will build the whole page and show you a live preview in seconds.
Refine it in the same chat. If something's off, just say so in plain language, "make the headline bigger" or "change the button color to match my brand." Each request creates a new version, so you can always go back.
Feature 02: Edit it visually, without touching a prompt again
Once you have a version you like, you're not stuck prompting forever. Code 2.0's biggest upgrade is that the output becomes a real, editable Canva design.
Click into any text box and retype it directly, the way you would in any Canva design. Swap in your own photos by dragging them from your brand library. Update fonts and colors through the same toolbar you already use for social graphics. One thing worth knowing: if Canva used a gradient color by default and the color picker won't open, just prompt it to "use solid colors instead" and the picker will unlock.
Feature 03: Bring in your brand automatically
Because Canva Code sits inside the same account as your brand kit, anything you build starts closer to "done" than a generic AI tool would give you.
Your fonts, your colors, and your logo are already there to pull from. That means a landing page you build in Canva Code will look like it came from your business on the first draft, not the fifth. If you've imported your brand kit already (yours is set up under "Coach Hannah Cox"), this happens automatically.
Feature 04: Publish it as a live, working link
Once you're happy with it, this stops being a mockup and becomes a real page you can send people to.
Preview the page to test that everything works the way you expect. Then publish it as a website directly from Canva, no separate hosting, no handoff to anyone else. You'll get a real link you can drop into an email, a text, or a bio link.
Try It This Week
Pick one small, repetitive thing you currently do by hand and build a page for it instead. A simple client intake form. A one-page "book a discovery call" landing page. A pricing calculator for a service you offer.
Starter prompt to copy and use:
"Build a simple landing page for [your offer]. Include a headline, three short lines about what the person gets, and a button that links to [your booking link]. Keep the tone direct and warm, not salesy."
