Claude Fable 5 can tackle your biggest backlog item, here's how to use the free window

Most people, when a more powerful AI model drops, use it to rewrite an email or summarize something they could have read themselves. Then the free access window closes and they realize they used a sports car to drive to the mailbox. Claude Fable 5 just launched, it's Anthropic's most capable model ever released to the public, and through June 22 it's included in your existing Claude plan at no extra cost. After that, it moves to a much higher price. This week is about using it on something that actually deserves it.

Feature 01: Pick the one task you've been avoiding because it's too big

Fable 5 is built for long, complex, multi-step work, the kind of project that usually gets pushed to "when I have a free afternoon" because starting it feels like opening a can of worms. The best way to use the free window is to throw your hardest, most time-consuming work at it, from deep research and data analysis to content engines and full audits. AceCloud

For my clients, that might look like: rebuilding a messy pricing structure across every service line, drafting a full operations manual from scattered notes, or working through a year's worth of financial records to spot patterns you've been too busy to notice.

  1. Open a new chat on claude.ai. Click the model selector at the top of the conversation window.

  2. Select Claude Fable 5 from the dropdown. If you're on a Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise plan, it's already available to you, no extra signup needed.

  3. Give it the whole job in one prompt. Don't break it into ten small requests. Describe the full scope, attach everything relevant, and let it work through the whole thing.

  4. Let it run, then review. Fable 5 is designed for longer thinking time on hard problems. Don't interrupt it expecting an instant answer the way you might with a quick tool.

Feature 02: Use it for the thing with a lot of moving pieces

If your business involves coordinating a lot of details, schedules, inventory, multi-step processes, client deliverables with a dozen components, Fable 5's larger context window means you can hand it everything at once instead of piecing it together yourself.

  1. Gather your source material first. Pull together the documents, spreadsheets, or notes that all relate to the project.

  2. Upload everything in one conversation. The model can hold a large amount of information at once, so don't split it across chats.

  3. Ask for the full output, not a draft to iterate ten times. Be specific about what "done" looks like.

  4. Spot-check before you use it. Fable 5 is powerful, but you're still the one who knows your business. Read it like you'd read work from a very capable new hire on their first week.

A quick note on what not to upload: because Fable 5 requires extended data retention for safety monitoring, this isn't the week to drop in confidential financial, legal, or customer data unless you've checked that's fine for your situation. Save it for the projects, plans, and drafts that don't carry that risk. AceCloud

Try It This Week

Pick one project that's been sitting on your list because it felt too big to start. Open a new chat, select Claude Fable 5, and use this starter prompt:

"I want your help with [describe the full project]. Here's everything relevant: [paste or attach your materials]. Walk through this completely and give me a finished first version, not an outline. Ask me clarifying questions only if something is truly unclear."

Then let it work. You have until June 22 before this access changes.

If you're looking at this and thinking "I don't even know where to start with AI in my business," that's exactly what I help people with. I work with small business owners who want to actually use these tools, not just read about them. If that's you, reach out to hannah@coachhannahcox.com.

Every Thursday: one tool, one use case, how to actually use it.
